What the vehicle showed
ADAS warnings often involve several systems at once. The useful question is not simply whether a calibration can be selected, but whether the vehicle is electrically, mechanically, and electronically ready to complete it.
Adaptive cruise and related front-assist systems remained unavailable after radar replacement.
The replacement module did not have the correct vehicle-specific configuration.
Dataset and component-protection conditions prevented normal setup.
Calibration equipment could access the vehicle but could not substitute for the missing programming prerequisites.

The radar needed the correct vehicle-specific information before its basic settings and aiming values could be meaningful.
Vehicle security and protection functions cannot be bypassed by repeatedly attempting a calibration. The module first needed authorized setup through the appropriate programming process.
Once the radar was correctly programmed and recognized by the vehicle, the calibration equipment could perform the aiming procedure and verify the system.
What this case teaches
Replacement-module installation, programming, commissioning, and calibration are separate steps.
An advanced calibration frame or scan tool cannot correct an invalid dataset or unresolved component protection by aiming the sensor.
The programming path should be identified before scheduling calibration on security-managed European vehicles.
Correct sequencing prevents wasted calibration attempts and repeat transportation between facilities.
