About AutoLab Calibrations

Independent ADAS service. An owner you can reach.

AutoLab Calibrations is an independent, owner-operated business serving Bergen County, New Jersey. Drivers, collision shops, glass installers, and repair shops can request camera and radar calibration, diagnostic testing, and programming review directly.

Meet Dean

The person behind the service.

Dean handles AutoLab’s diagnostic and calibration work, from reviewing the initial warning to explaining the result. His day-to-day work includes camera faults after windshield replacement, radar problems following collision or component work, and vehicles whose warnings need investigation before calibration can begin.

AutoLab uses Autel calibration and diagnostic equipment, including the IA1000 and Ultra S2. The vehicle’s requirements, installed equipment, and necessary software access determine what can be completed. Send the VIN and repair history before scheduling so the service can be confirmed.

Service and location

For Bergen County drivers and the shops repairing their vehicles.

AutoLab serves Bergen County, including Maywood and South Hackensack. In-shop appointments are arranged in South Hackensack, and mobile diagnostic visits may be available depending on the vehicle, location, and scope. Confirm the service location before bringing the vehicle; appointments are arranged after review.

A mobile visit can establish why a warning is present. It does not mean every required calibration can be completed at that location. Parts, mounting problems, programming, or a controlled target setup may require a separate appointment.

Considering an independent provider?

Ask what will be done—and what the result will show.

If you are comparing AutoLab with a dealership, body shop, or another calibration provider, start with the exact vehicle and requested operation. Ask whether the provider can perform that procedure, what additional access is required, who will do the work, and what documentation you will receive.

  • Confirm the scope. Diagnosis, parts installation, programming, and calibration are different operations. Your estimate should identify the work being proposed.
  • Confirm the method. The applicable vehicle procedure determines static, dynamic, or combined calibration—not which option is more convenient.
  • Confirm the result. A completed radar calibration does not establish that unrelated camera or network faults were also repaired.

AutoLab provides quotes privately after reviewing the vehicle. If required equipment or access is outside the available scope, the next step needs to be arranged before a calibration can be promised.

How we document the work

Findings, results, and remaining questions.

Our case studies use observations and records from actual AutoLab appointments. Customer names, VINs, and private contact details are omitted. Each case separates confirmed work from proposed repairs or an ongoing diagnosis.

Start with the vehicle

Tell Dean what changed and what the vehicle is reporting.

Start with the VIN, a warning photo, recent repair history, and any scan report. AutoLab will review the likely diagnostic or calibration path before scheduling.
